The Airedale masterplan was launched in 2005, after consultants Arup and a team of supporting consultants were appointed in 2004 by the Airedale Partnership, City of Bradford District Council and Yorkshire Forward to develop a masterplan and strategy for Airedale.

At its heart is the regeneration of the three inter-connected town centres of Keighley, Bingley and Shipley. The vision for Airedale focuses on a place that combines creative, connected and lifestyle corridors set in a green backdrop.
