Boroughbridge, which sits on the River Ure in Harrogate District, joined the RMT programme in 2004. ‘Yore Vision', the regeneration partnership body in Boroughbridge is working on the delivery of a number of projects in the town. The major project from the delivery plan is ‘Improving The Offer' - a joint project with Knaresborough. This package includes a grant scheme aimed at enhancing vacant and poorly-used commercial sites in the town; running Welcome Host, hospitality and visitor management courses; and the restoration of St James Square - the key public gateway at the southern end of the High Street. Yore Vision is also working to develop a new Youth Facility in the town.
