One of the first RMT towns, Kirkbymoorside joined the RMT programme in 2003. Kirkbymoorside completed an initial business plan in 2005. Access to training and advice were seen as important issues to be addressed for Kirkbymoorside. At present an agreement has been reached to develop Church House in the centre of the town to create a one-stop shop for local information and as a meeting and training room and in addition, consideration is being given to developing a "wet trades" training venue in a former school building.
