The Colne Valley (Marsden and Slaithwaite) joined the RMT programme in 2004. Thirteen priority projects were identified through an intensive consultation process. Of these thirteen, the key transformational project which is expected to be delivered with finanicial assistance from YF is:

• An 'enterprise hub' that will provide the opportunity for new business generation and for existing businesses to grow. The aim of the enterprise hub is to focus on environmental and sustainable businesses, thereby strengthening the ethos behind the local renaissance process.
• The total indicative allocation for the Marsden and Slaithwaite Renaissance programme is £4M.
