Richmond and Catterick Garrison became involved in the RMT programme in 2004. They have an initial business plan and a number of projects are underway. These include:

• The highly successful, award winning Richmond Heritage Partnership Scheme, which has seen redundant upper floors of key buildings in Richmond town centre brought back into economic use.

• The project to convert Richmond's redundant station building into a multi-purpose facility in now complete.  The facilities include:  conference facilities, a 2 screen cinema, high-quality office space, meeting rooms, a restaurant/café bar, specialist food producers selling a range of foods and an art gallery situated on the mezzanine floor - the Richmond Station Art Exhibition of local artists is taking place in July/August 2008.
