Scarborough
Scarborough was one of the original renaissance towns and started its renaissance process in 2001. Advisors West 8 helped Scarborough to think about their place, which resulted in the creation of the Scarborough Strategic Development Framework, ‘Kissing Sleeping Beauty.’
The vision for Scarborough is to broaden the economic base of the town to ensure quality year round employment and opportunities for all. Scarborough’s beauty and location is suited to the digital and creative industries. Yorkshire Forward, Scarborough Borough Council and the Town Team are working together to deliver a step change in the economic performance of the town.
